Street Lighting

Q. Who is responsible for maintaining the street lights in Avon Dassett?

A. The Parish Council are responsible for ensuring that the street lighting is in good order.

v Avon Dassett's street lighting is inspected every 28 nights

v There are cyclic Visual structural inspections

v The lanterns are cleaned and bulbs are changed regularly

v They are safety tested every 6 years

v They are repaired when faults are logged

v The light over the Church gate has recently been renovated and now provides a little more light on this dark stretch of the road.

v The street light by St John's Church has been turned to shine up the hill, again to improve lighting in this area.
