The Avon - the country pub with tremendous grub!
I left feeling pleasantly full on high quality, wholesome food after one of the most enjoyable evenings I've had recently. Where? Well, The Avon pub in the glorious picturesque village of Avon Dassett. Warm and welcoming described the feeling of the pub for as soon as I entered the rusticly atmospheric restaurant I was directed straight to my table in a cosy corner of the dining area, lit only by romantic candlelight and added to this was relaxed music flowing quietly into the room.
Looking through the menu I was pleased to see The Avon catered for every taste... The specials board housed an array of multi-cultural dishes...
Whilst waiting for my food to arrive, which didn't take very long at all, my attention was caught by something I can't ever remember seeing in a restaurant before. It perfectly illustrated the caring atmosphere I had encountered up to this point. It was the offer of reading glasses to a gentleman who was having trouble reading the menu! Nothing was too much trouble for the staff at The Avon!
... this is a pub that truly caters for the whole family... It seems that the pub is not only trying but succeeding in establishing itself at the heart of the village...
You can definitely expect a warm and friendly welcome from the staff at The Avon pub, Avon Dassett.
